More Bass in More Faces!
featuring
EDIT
(Glitch Mob, L.A)
Edit or Ed to his friends needs no introduction
as he hails from L.A's infamous Glitch Mob,
nuff said.
After touring the world non-stop promoting
his "Certified AirRaid Material" album,
we are blessed to have him back on home turf.
Dropping his signiture, in your face, IDM-based Glitch-Hop beats,
prepare yourself for an all out dancefloor assault
as Mr. Ed-it pummel's you with chunky 808's,
timestretched riddims, and B-lines that will
shake your grannies false teeth out!
2562
(Tectonic, Bristol U.K)
Named after his zip code in a suburb of west coast Holland,
2562
aka Dave Huismans has been getting his toons battered
by everyone from Mala to Laurent Garnier.
Described as "sexy, deep and energetic," his
techno infused transmissions pulsate through the speakers
melding genres with a futuristic style all of his own.
Signed to Pinch's TECTONIC label, his uptempo
choons like "Techno Dread, Channel Two & Kameleon"
have gotten him regular rotation on
Mary-Anne Hobbs show amongst many others.
2562 is not just a producer turned dj however,
but a proper vinyl fiend/beatfreak, so strap on your seatbelts
and be prepared for a musical journey of
massive sonic proportions!
L.A is a natural environment for 2562's Tectonic plate shifting!
BREAKAGE
(Digital Soundboy, U.K)
A firm favorite amongst Drum & Bass beatsmiths,
James Breakage has set himself apart from the mundane,
with his deep dubby b-lines, intricate breaks and echo drenched pads.
Toons like Clarendon, Disco 45, So Vain, and Mars are
stella examples of his futuristic Dubbed out D & B.
However, recently it's his Dubstep riddims that have
been catching dancefloors alight and Dj's ears off guard.
With toons on Digital Soundboy and Naked Lunch, I swear
Jame's should change his name to Bassage as the weight
in his toons is unparalleled!
A card carrying member of the Professionals,
this night see's Breakage fly solo, so batten down the hatches,
hold on tight to your cup, and bring your "Depends" if need be...
This is Future Bass Music at it's finest!
THE PROFESSIONALS
(Sam XL, Pablo Hassan,
MC Kemst, Pure Filth L.A)
Hometown heroes the Professionals are back.
When they're not on the blag for choons,
or playing darts at the Cat & Fiddle,
you can usually find them toting a cooler full of Stellas,
a bag full of records and a truck full of Bassbins,
looking for empty warehouses to throw parties in.
Certified Dub-a-holics, these boys know what it takes
to get the party started, and if you were lucky enough to
catch Pure Filth at Higgins gallery, some say a whole scene started!
Either way the Daddy's of L.A Dubstep are back on deck,
lock up the Stella's and whatever you do....
don't put that drink on top of the speaker!
RAS G & SAMIYAM
(Poobah, Hyperdub U.K)
Coming hot of the heels of his new album "Afrikan Space Program" on
Poobah recs,
BASSFACE finds the mighty Ras G droppin' beats pon his favorite system...
the Pure Filth Soundsystem!
"Playing on the Filth system has changed how I make music!" he says,
and when you witness his mighty dub riddims
you'll understand what he means!
We are ecstatic to have Ras bless the dance,
y'all are in for a treat!
Joining him on deck is Samiyam whose quirky,
bugged out riddims drip of future soul and mutant jazz.
My Mom always says "Big Things come in small packages"
and Samiyam is just that!
With releases on Hyperdub and Flying Lotus' BRAINFEEDER digital,
SAM is quickly forging a stronghold in the underground beat scene
as well as gaining mad cred performimg alongside
Flying lotus as FLY-AM-SAM.
Miss these guys at your own peril!
TONY K, D DUB & REMO
(Pure Filth Soundsystem)
Fresh beats and fresh faces, these boys light the fuse,
set the vibe and get it poppin.'
Firm favorites amongst the Pure Filth regulars,
they're back to set it off proper. BOOM!
Resident MC
KEMST
(Pure Filth Soundsystem)
Steve Jackson, never missing in action,
a deliverer of constant satisfaction...
when he bless the mic...
always a positive reaction.
This is a Pure Filth Underground event.
Keep your ear to the ground and
eyes to the screen for more info.
